Article 2 – Purpose

Section 2.01.
The purpose of the Bangor Scholarship Foundation, Inc. shall solely be to raise funds for scholarships and award scholarships to students pursuing degrees in post-high school education. Scholarships shall be awarded based upon the criteria of the selection committee, which shall include but not be limited to, scholastic achievement, community leadership, financial need, scholastic contribution through involvement in extra curricular activities, and other indications that the student will become a positive citizen and contributor to society. The selection shall not discriminate against any student based on race, religion or sex. Scholarship applications shall be open to all graduates of Bangor High School, or any high school graduate who resides in the Bangor School District but attends a private high school, including but not limited to Luther High School, Aquinas High School and Coulee Region Christian School. The selected student will be required to maintain an academic performance level and conduct adequate to allow graduation or completion of the program in which the student is enrolled. The student must be attending an accredited institution.
